Chelsea player accused of 'match-fixing' after what he did vs Man United
Summarised by MatchPal
Wesley Fofana drew heavy criticism for poor defending in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Manchester United, with fans questioning his performance despite the clean sheet.
Chelsea defeated Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, with Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer scoring, but the match was overshadowed by Wesley Fofana's defensive display. The French centre-back was repeatedly caught out of position and dispossessed, drawing scathing criticism from supporters on social media who questioned how he remained unpunished for his errors. Despite his mistakes, Chelsea's defence held firm and United failed to capitalise on the chances created. Fofana is likely to remain in the starting lineup due to injuries to Reece James and Jorrel Hato, with Maxence Lacroix now also sidelined with a hamstring problem expected to keep him out for two to three months.
