Celtic dressing room's thoughts on Martin O'Neill are crystal clear as fans sent message

Defender Colby Donovan insists the Celtic squad remain united behind manager Martin O'Neill despite a poor run of form and fan frustration.

Celtic defender Colby Donovan has defended manager Martin O'Neill following the champions' sixth defeat in ten games, a 2-2 draw at Falkirk on Sunday that drew angry reactions from supporters.

Donovan insisted the dressing room remains fully behind O'Neill, pointing to how the manager steadied the club last season when he arrived to difficult circumstances and led them to a domestic double. "We stick with the gaffer always, no matter who it is," Donovan said. "When they come in here, they're a Celtic manager. Nobody will ever turn against them."

The homegrown player acknowledged the frustration among fans but appealed for unity, saying the supporters' backing acts as a "12th man" and that the club needs everyone pulling together. "It's nothing without the fans, so we need them on our side in every game," he said. Celtic face Besiktas in the Europa League on Thursday.
