Michael Carrick could save his job by axing new Man United favourite for Shea Lacey

Opinion piece argues Carrick should start Shea Lacey over Amad Diallo against Aston Villa after Lacey's impactful cameo in the Roma win.

Michael Carrick's Manchester United future remains under pressure despite a 3-2 victory over Roma. The article argues that Shea Lacey, who came off the bench in that match, should start in the upcoming fixture against Aston Villa, replacing Amad Diallo in the lineup.

Lacey made an immediate impact when introduced, completing three of four dribbles, 100% of his passes, and winning four of five ground duels. He also provided the assist for Matheus Cunha's winning goal. The piece contends that Diallo, who has started four of the last five games but has zero goals across all competitions this season, should be dropped to accommodate Lacey's energy and determination.
