Bruno Fernandes blames "many factors outside dressing room" for Manchester United woes

Bruno Fernandes says Manchester United's struggles stem from multiple issues including confidence and external factors, not just one problem.

Manchester United beat Roma 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday, with Bruno Fernandes scoring from the penalty spot and Matheus Cunha adding two goals. After the match, the United captain gave an honest assessment of the club's recent difficulties in an interview with TNT Sports Brazil.

Fernandes acknowledged that the problems are deep-rooted and multifaceted. "There isn't just one problem, there's more than one," he said. "There are many things to improve, many things we need to do differently. Unfortunately for us, this has been happening over a long period of time, which makes things more difficult."

The midfielder pointed to confidence as a key issue, noting that negative results have taken a mental toll on the squad. He also highlighted "many factors outside the dressing room, outside the players and the staff, which make the club's performances and what we can do on the pitch more difficult." While acknowledging the responsibility of wearing the Manchester United shirt, Fernandes suggested that understanding the club's stature doesn't automatically solve the underlying issues.
