Bruno Fernandes blames 'factors outside Man United dressing room' for woeful start to season

Fernandes attributes United's poor start to factors beyond the dressing room, citing confidence issues and long-standing problems affecting the squad.

Bruno Fernandes has opened up on Manchester United's disappointing season, claiming that 'factors outside the dressing room' have contributed to their struggles. United sit 17th in the Premier League with one game left before the international break, though they ended a nine-game winless run by beating Roma 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday, with Fernandes scoring a penalty.

In an interview with TNT Sport Brazil, the United captain highlighted confidence as a key issue. "It's a question of confidence," he said. "There are a lot of factors outside the dressing room, outside of the players and the backroom staff, which make the performances of the club and what we can do on the pitch more difficult."

Fernandes acknowledged that multiple problems exist rather than a single issue, noting that the situation has persisted for some time. He expressed frustration that the club has not delivered what he and his teammates believe they are capable of achieving.
