"He's not happy" – Oliver Glasner admits to Marinakis talks after Nottingham Forest start

Glasner admits talks with owner Marinakis after Forest's poor start but claims he has full backing despite the club's 19th-place position.

Oliver Glasner has held talks with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis following a disastrous start to the season. Forest sit 19th with just six points from nine games, having won once and lost six times.

Glasner acknowledged Marinakis is unhappy with results and mistakes but insisted he has "100% backing" from the owner. He told Sky Austria: "Naturally, he's not happy with our start. He's not happy with the results, and he's not happy with the mistakes we're making, none of us are."

Despite the poor league position, Glasner highlighted underlying statistics that suggest Forest are underperforming. They have the fifth-best expected goals in the league and the second-best expected goals against, behind only Arsenal. "If you look at the data, we should be third," Glasner said. "It's unbelievable how we're underperforming." He attributed the gap to simple defensive mistakes and wasted chances in attack.
