Nottingham Forest tipped to sack Oliver Glasner 'next week' by club adviser

Glasner faces the sack if Forest lose to Manchester City on Saturday, with owner Marinakis known for swift managerial changes.

Oliver Glasner's position as Nottingham, former Forest manager is under severe pressure ahead of this weekend's clash with Manchester City. Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness believes the Austrian could be sacked next week if his team fail to win, particularly given Glasner's recent post-match comments after the defeat at Brentford where he suggested the players share responsibility for the club's poor form.

Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, argues that Glasner has made things worse for himself by appearing to make excuses. "He's trying to blame it on things that he didn't really change and that things were there in place when he came in," Wyness said. "Well, I'm afraid if you're the manager, it's up to you to change everything as you need to."

Glasner signed a lucrative contract at the City Ground over the summer but Forest currently sit in the bottom three. With the November international break approaching, Wyness believes owner Evangelos Marinakis—known for "knee-jerk" reactions—could make a managerial change during that window if results don't improve immediately.
