High tension at Napoli, from Lucca-De Bruyne clash to Politano and Hojlund's words: chaos after Champions League

Napoli's 4-1 defeat at Porto sparked on-field tension between Lucca and De Bruyne, with post-match comments from Politano hinting at squad unrest ahead of Sunday's Lazio clash.

Napoli suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat at Porto in the Champions League, their third loss in four European matches. The result exposed growing tensions within a squad already depleted by injuries.

Tensions boiled over on the pitch when De Bruyne remonstrated with striker Lucca over a perceived mistake. Lucca responded angrily, telling the Belgian midfielder "Why are you speaking?" and "F**k off" three times, exchanges caught by lip readers.

Post-match, Politano spoke to Sky Sport, saying he always faces the media but wished other Italian players would do the same to share responsibility. He stressed the group remains united behind the manager but acknowledged they are struggling and need to regroup before Sunday's big match against Serie A leaders Lazio at the Maradona. Napoli hope to have some injured players back for the fixture.
